Child Shot, Chambersburg Man Arrested For Gun Offenses: Police A child was hospitalized after being shot on Birch Street in Chambersburg, where a local man was later arrested on firearms charges, police announced on Friday, Dec. 13. The shooting happened on the 200 block of Birch Street at 6:20 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, according to Chambersburg Police. Officers found a child suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was taken to Chambersburg Hospital and later flown to an advanced care facility for treatment, authorities said.
