Officer Assaulted, Teen Twin Brothers Arrested In Poconos: Police
Twin brothers caught stealing beer assaulted an officer in the Poconos, police announced on Friday, Sept. 13. Xaziver and Gabriel Valle, both 19-year-old Tobyhanna residents were arrested on Thursday, Sept. 12, Mountain Regional Police detailed in the release. Staff at the Weis Market located at 601 PA-940 Ste 116, Mt Pocono, called the police after Xaziver was seen putting beverages in a backpack, according to the release. $82K Watch Stolen, Suspect Sought By Police In Pennsylvania
A man who allegedly stole an $82,000 watch from an area mall is sought by police in Upper Merion Township. Justin Ward, 30, has been charged with robbery, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, and retail theft. On Saturday, Aug. 17 at about 7 p.m., Upper Merion Police responded to the Bucherer 1888 store located inside the King of Prussia Mall (160 N. Gulph Road) for a reported theft that had just occurred. 9-County Retail Theft Ring Busted: PA Attorney General
Five people involved in a major organized retail theft operation have been charged with targeting stores across nine counties, authorities said. Marlin Polanco, Malik McDonald, Cartier Hardy, Homario Oldacre, and Lorenzo Walters were charged in Dauphin County with corrupt organizations, organized retail theft, and related crimes, Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle Henry said on Monday, Aug. 26. A 46-year-old inmate escaped from the Cumberland County Prison during work release, the sheriff's office announced on Monday, Aug. 19. Smile, You're On Body Camera: TJ Maxx To Equip Employees To Fight Shoplifting
To fight the recent rise in shoplifting and retail theft, shoppers could see store security employees wearing body-worn cameras to help catch thieves red-handed.
