Crash Shuts Down Route 422 In Exeter Township Exeter police responded to a crash on Route 422 on Wednesday afternoon, June 12.  Authorities said it happened near Daniel Boone Road around 2:30 p.m.  "Motorists should expect the road to be closed for an extended period of time," Exeter police said.  WFMZ reports a Minersville woman died as a result of the crash. Two Seriously Injured In Head-On Downingtown Crash: Police (Updated) A man and a woman are hospitalized after an early morning wreck on Route 322, Downingtown police say.  A silver Honda Fit and a white Chevrolet Equinox collided on the 600 block just after 8 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12, authorities said.  Both were taken to Paoli Hospital Trauma Center while Route 322/Brandywine Avenue was shut down for more than three hours.  The crash remains under investigation and anyone who witnessed it is asked to call 610-269-0263 or email traffic@downingtown.org.

Coroner Names Driver Killed In Williams Township Crash A 25-year-old man died in a single-car crash on Thursday morning, June 6, authorities say.  Rashon Christian-James Cooke of Philadelphia crashed at the corner of Berger and Diehl roads in Williams Township, said the Northampton County Coroner's Office.  According to state police, Cooke was headed west on Diehl when his truck left the roadway, struck an embankment, and then hit a traffic sign before overturning. He was pronounced dead at the scene.  His cause and manner of death are pending further investigation, the Coroner's Office added.

Coroner IDs Reading Man Killed In Route 183 Crash Officials have named the driver who died after a crash near Bernville on Thursday morning, May 30.  Daniel R. Schneider, 28, was headed south on the 6400 block of Bernville Road/Route 183 in Penn Township around 4:15 a.m., according to state police and the Berks Coroner's Office.  Schneider's Chrysler 300 crossed into the northbound lane and hit a Toyota Highlander head-on, troopers said. Motorcyclist Hit, Killed By Stolen Car In Philadelphia: Police (Updated) Five teenagers were taken into custody after a deadly crash in North Philadelphia on Tuesday night, May 28, city police say.  Authorities said the teens were driving in a stolen Kia on Front Street when they struck a motorcyclist heading west on Hunting Park Avenue.  The motorcyclist, 55-year-old Wilberto Casillas, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.  The five teens fled on foot and were later arrested, according to PPD. Charges are pending.

Box Truck Overturns On I-95 In Philadelphia Pennsylvania State Police are responding to a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 in Philadelphia.  A box truck overturned in the southbound lanes near the Academy Road exit, troopers said around 9 a.m., May 29. The truck blocked the right and center lanes, police said.  A school bus without any students onboard was also involved.  Firefighters and EMS were dispatched to the scene, troopers added.

Holiday Weekend Ends In 29 DUI Arrests In Lehigh Valley Area: State Police State troopers have released the results of their Memorial Day Holiday traffic enforcement initiative.  PSP's Troop M — which includes Bucks, Lehigh, and Northampton counties — said they made 29 DUI arrests between Friday, May 24 and Monday, May 27. That's down from the same holiday weekend in 2023 when troopers made 31 DUI arrests, according to the data.  Of the 45 total crashes Troop M responded to over the long weekend, two were said to be alcohol-related. Passenger Dies After Carbon County Wreck: Coroner A Lower Towamensing man died days after a car he was riding in crashed in Montour County.  Jason Reed was the passenger in a vehicle that wrecked on Ashtown Road in Mahoning Township on Friday, May 24, said the Lehigh County Coroner's Office.  He was taken to University Hospital in Bethlehem where he died from complications of multiple traumatic injuries on Tuesday morning, officials said. His manner of death was accidental.  Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the crash, the Coroner's Office added.

Bus Hits Pedestrian In North Philadelphia: SEPTA One person was hospitalized after being struck by a bus in Philadelphia's Hunting Park on Monday night, May 27.  SEPTA said it happened near the corner of 13th Street and Erie Avenue around 9 p.m. The pedestrian was hit by the left side mirror of a Route 56 bus, according to transit officials.  "The pedestrian was taken to the hospital in critical condition, however, the injuries are reported to be non-life threatening," a spokesperson said.  No one on the bus was injured, they added.
