Motorcyclist ID'd After Crash Into Tractor-Trailer: Lehigh County Coroner A 29-year-old motorcyclist from Monroe County was killed in a collision with a tractor-trailer in Northampton County, authorities said. Robert Swain, of Coolbaugh Township, was pronounced dead on Wednesday, Sept. 4, shortly after 7 p.m. at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg, according to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio. The cause of death is multiple traumatic injuries, Buglio said. Central Penn Baseball Star Struck Dead By Tractor-Trailer On I-81: Coroner A former college baseball player was struck dead on Interstate 81 on Sunday, Aug. 25, the Cumberland County Coroner Charley Hall told Daily Voice.  Quinton J. Heckard, 26, of Hummelstown, was hit by a tractor-trailer on I-81 South at mile marker 61.7 at 8:13 a.m., according to Hall.  The fatal pedestrian strike happened when "Heckard stepped in front of the truck from the shoulder of the road," Hall said. Trooper Rear-Ended By Tractor Trailer On I-76 In Philadelphia A Pennsylvania State Police trooper was hospitalized after being struck by a tractor trailer on I-76 overnight in Philadelphia, police said. The officer was conducting stationary work enforcement in the westbound lanes with his emergency lights fully activated near milepost 340.5 in Philadelphia, when he was struck around 3:50 a.m., a spokesperson for the agency said. The trooper sustained moderate injuries as a result of the impact and was taken by Philadelphia Fire and EMS to the hospital for further evaluation.
