Twin brothers caught stealing beer assaulted an officer in the Poconos, police announced on Friday, Sept. 13. Xaziver and Gabriel Valle, both 19-year-old Tobyhanna residents were arrested on Thursday, Sept. 12, Mountain Regional Police detailed in the release. Staff at the Weis Market located at 601 PA-940 Ste 116, Mt Pocono, called the police after Xaziver was seen putting beverages in a backpack, according to the release. Convicted Killer Pleads Guilty To Escape Charges After Eluding Authorities For Weeks In PA
A convicted killer who eluded authorities for nearly two weeks last year in Pennsylvania has pleaded guilty to escape charges, authorities said. A nationwide manhunt for Danilo Cavalcante, 35, a native of Brazil, ended on Sept. 13, 2023, with his capture. He was found hiding under foliage within a search perimeter in northern Chester County, as previously reported by Daily Voice. A 46-year-old inmate escaped from the Cumberland County Prison during work release, the sheriff's office announced on Monday, Aug. 19. A convicted felon who was wanted after escaping prison while on work release has been captured, the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office announced on Wednesday, July 17. The 16-year-old who climbed a fence at Berks County detention center over the weekend has been arrested, state police said Thursday, July 11. Dustin Lomas was taken into custody in Falls Township on Wednesday evening, July 10, troopers said. He was allegedly "an occupant" in a stolen car.
