Hershey Bears Break World Record With Teddy Bear Toss At Giant Center
A new world record was set Sunday evening, Jan. 5, 2025, at the GIANT Center in Hershey, when fans launched 102,343 teddy bears and stuffed animals onto the ice during the Hershey Bears' annual Teddy Bear Toss.
The milestone moment came after Mike Sgarbossa scored at 14:45 of the first period, tying the game 1-1 against the Providence Bruins. Sgarbossa, a veteran forward in his seventh season with the Bears, celebrated his first-ever Teddy Bear Toss goal, delighting the sold-out crowd of 10,514.

President-elect Donald Trump is looking to replace Damian Williams, US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, with a familiar face from his previous administration who hails from Pennsylvania.
Trump announced on Thursday, Nov. 14 that he would nominate Jay Clayton, who has no experience as a criminal prosecutor, to be the next US Attorney for the Southern District of New York.
Clayton, age 58, previously served as Chairman of the US Securities and Exchange Commission from May 2017 to December 2020, a role in which Trump wrote he "did an incredible job."
