Amish Farm Has Two-Alarm Barn Fire: Authorities An Amish barn had a blaze burning through it early Thursday morning, Oct. 10, according to Lancaster County Wide Communications.  The call to the fire at the farm located in the 5900 block of Meadville Road in Salisbury Township, Narvon came into LCWC at 3:24 a.m., according to the supervisor. The area of Meadeville and Red Hill roads were closed as fire crews battled the blaze.   The barn stored hay, not animals, so no humans or animals were injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Strasburg Barn Destroyed In 2-Alarm Fire (Photos) Over 100 bales of hay and three pieces of farm equipment have been destroyed in a two-alarm fire, officials explained on Tuesday, Sept. 17.  The fire broke on a farm in the 1500 block of Lime Valley Road in Strasburg Township At 5:33 a.m. a second alarm was rung at 5:56 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17. Firefighters arrived at the scene to find the barn fully engulfed in flames, by 8:30 a.m. nine tankers were at the scene.  Early this morning station 59 was dispatched to assist station 5 with a barn fire on Lime Valley Rd.
