An adjunct professor and author from Lancaster, PA who always wanted to go hiking in New Hampshire was rescued while hiking in NH on Monday, New Hampshire Fish and Game announced on Tuesday, July 2. Cordelia Moyse, 60 of Lancaster, Pennsylvania slipped and injured her leg while hiking the Wentworth Trail of Mount Israel in Sandwich New Hampshire on July 1. An 18-year-old man drowned in the Susquehanna River on Saturday, police announced on June 23. The incident began when Gavin Frey of Howard, PA was swimming with a 22-year-old friend in the Susquehanna River between the City Beach and Riverview Park around 4:45 p.m. on June 22, Lock Haven City Police explain and he was later identified by the Clinton County Coroner Zach Hanna. A 1-year-old girl is in the hospital – along with another Amish child and two adults – following a horse-and-buggy crash, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Sunday, June 23. The crash began when 83-year-old Charles R. Shannon attempted to drive his 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe around the horse-and-buggy driven by 73-year-old George D. A 19-year-old man has been airlifted to the hospital and charged in the crash that sent him there, Pennsylvania State Police in Chambersburg announced on Thursday. Lazarus Anders Burleson of Mont Alto was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Trail Blazer north on Black Gap Road when he attempted to turn left onto Scotland Main Street, PSP troopers explained. Construction Worker Takes Fatal 9-Story Fall In Pittsburgh: Officials
A construction worker fell from the scaffolding on the exterior of the ninth floor of a building in Pittsburgh on Thursday, May 30, officials with the office of public safety announced later that morning. The worker fell from the building that was under construction in the 400 block of Melwood Avenue in the North Oakland neighborhood just before 8 a.m., according to PPS.
