Tractor-Trailer Fire On PA Rt 283 In Mount Joy Causes Delays: PennDOT A tractor-trailer fire has caused delays on Route 283 on Thursday morning, Oct. 3, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The fire happened in the westbound lanes of PA Rt 283 between Exit: Pa. 772 – Mount Joy/Manheim And Exit: Rheems/Elizabethtown, according toe PennDOT's 511PA. Emergency crews were called to the fire around 8:45 a.m., 511PA shows. Lane restriction was put in place as crews remained on the scene. Delays continued in the area as of 10:40 a.m. The cause of the fire was not shared and no injuries were reported. Check back here for possible updates.
