Thousands Of Toyota, Lexus, Subaru Vehicles Recalled Over Software Issue
A new safety recall is putting thousands of owners on notice.
Toyota is recalling 20,991 electric vehicles, including Toyota, Lexus, and Subaru models, over a software issue that could cause a loss of drive power, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The recall affects certain 2026 model-year Toyota bZ, Lexus RZ, and Subaru Solterra vehicles.
The affected vehicles include 11,495 Toyota bZ models, 4,739 Lexus RZ models, and 4,757 Subaru Solterra models, according to NHTSA.
The issue involves the battery electronic control unit, or ECU.
