1 Killed, 1 Hospitalized In Bethlehem Crash, Police Say One driver's dead and another is in the hospital following a crash early on Saturday morning, Oct. 20, Bethlehem Township Police announced.  The "serious' two vehicle happened at the intersection of Freemansburg Avenue and 7th Street in the township at 2:35 a.m., police detailed in the release. Pedestrian ID'd After Fatal Hit-Run Strike Near Dutch Wonderland: Coroner The pedestrian who was fatally struck by a vehicle outside a hotel near multiple amusement parks has been identified by the Lancaster County Coroner on Friday, Aug. 30.  John Zimmerman, 72, original of Lititz but recently of Lancaster, died at the scene of the strike at 2270 Lincoln Highway East at Fairfield Inn, according to the coroner. A tractor-trailer hauling dog food was heading east on I-76 when it attempted to take Exit 257 - Harrisburg East Interchange to I-283 Northbound, according to PennDOT and Turnpike officials. Vehicle Slams Into Fence On Rt 30 Ramp: PennDOT A vehicle crash into a fence at a Route 30 ramp is causing some delays on Monday, Aug. 5, according to PennDOT's 511PA.  The crash happened at the Route 30 Westbound on-ramp at Kreutz Creek Road in Hellam Township around 11:15 a.m., according to the York County Department of Emergency Services dispatch log.  The ramp was closed as emergency crews remained on the scene. Car Hit By Falling Tree On I-476 In Delco: Police A tree fell on a car on Interstate 476, sending one person to the hospital on Thursday morning, July 18, according to state police.  The driver of a Toyota Rav4 was seriously injured, troopers said. Two other cars were struck by debris but no one inside them was injured, authorities added.  I-476 between Route 3 (Marple) and Route 30 (Radnor) was down to one lane of travel as of 12:30 p.m., state police said.

Passenger Ejected, Seriously Injured In Berks County Crash On I-78 (Updated) Authorities have released additional details in the Interstate 78 crash that shut down a large stretch of the highway on Monday, July 1.  The multi-vehicle wreck happened near mile marker 31 in Hamburg, state police said in a release.  A tractor-trailer was headed west in a work zone when it hit the center concrete barrier, troopers said. Sinkhole Closes Route 32 In Bucks County PennDOT crews are repairing a sinkhole on River Road/Route 32, officials say.  According to Tinicum police, River Road is closed from Route 611 (Easton Road) to Bridgeton Hill Road in Nockamixon and Bridgeton townships.  Drivers should use Bridgeton Hill Road/Marienstein Road and Route 611 (Easton Road) instead of Route 32.  Expect traffic slowdowns in the area, officials said.
