The crash occurred between Exit 52B for the US 11/PA Turnpike and Exit 57 for PA 114 in Mechanicsburg around 7:18 a.m., according to PennDOT’s 511PA and emergency dispatch reports. Tractor-Trailer Fire Shutters Part Of PA Turnpike: PennDOT A tractor-trailer caught on fire along the Pennsylvania Turnpike prompting a detour to be put in place on Tuesday, Oct. 22, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.  The fire broke out in Upper Allen Township near mile marker 234.7 around 2:09 p.m., according to PennDOT's 511PA.  The turnpike is closed at the Gettysburg interchange. Fiery Fatal Crash Involving Tractor-Trailer, Minivan on US11/15: PennDOT Multi-vehicle crashes —  including a fatal crash — have closed north and southbound lanes on US 11/15/Susquehanna Trail on Wednesday, Aug. 7, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler told Daily Voice.  The fatal crash involved "a tractor-trailer and a minivan, fire and entrapment," Schreffler said.  The crashes happened in Buffalo Township, Perry County, just before 10:30 a.m., according to Schreffler.
