A tanker fire shut down Interstate 81 southbound at the Route 581 split in Cumberland County on Tuesday evening, Feb. 11, officials said. The fire broke out around 6:30 p.m., prompting closures of I-81 south at Exit 59 (PA 581 East/US 11 – Camp Hill) and the ramp from 581 west to I-81 south, according to PennDOT spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler. Interstate 81 South has fully reopened in Franklin County after a tractor-trailer fire shut down the roadway Friday evening, PennDOT announced. The fire occurred between Exit 14 (Wayne Avenue) and Exit 10 (PA-914/Marion) just after 6:15 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, initially closing all southbound lanes, according to PennDOT spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler. Motorcyclist Killed In Crash By Rt 15 Ramps With Rt 114: PennDOT
A crash between an SUV and a motorcycle left one person dead on Friday, Sept. 6, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler told Daily Voice. The fatal crash happened in the westbound lane of South Market Street/Route 114 at the intersection with the ramps to Route 15 at 12:30 p.m., Schreffler explained.
