Mugshot Released Of Murder Suspect In Shooting That Rattled NJ Town
The mugshot of a 34-year-old murder suspect arrested in a New Jersey shooting that rattled a small town has been released. Anthony Garvin, of Netcong, was charged with murder and possession of a firearm and lodged in the Berks County Jail in Leesport, PA, a spokesperson for the Warren County Prosecutor's Office said following the Thursday, June 28 incident. State police investigators hope to shed new light on the 1991 murder of a West Philadelphia man. Derek Michael Mason was last seen leaving his South 39th Street home in October of that year, according to troopers. His remains were discovered off the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Clay Township, Lancaster County in January 1992. Pennsylvania State Police continue to investigate the murder of Caryn Fortino. Fortino, 38, was found dead in a wooded area off of Interstate 81 in Delano Township on May 23, 2003. Pennsylvania State Police investigators are seeking tips in a 9-year-old girl's cold case murder. Carol Ann Dougherty was found dead inside St. Mark’s Roman Catholic Church in Bristol Borough on Oct. 22, 1962. She was strangled and had been sexually assaulted, according to troopers. Lamour Curtis Branch was arrested early Wednesday, June 5 for the murders of Angelito Caraballo and Hunter Mock, troopers say. CASE: Troopers Find New Leads In PA Woman's 1997 Murder
State police say they are making progress in their investigation of Patricia Woll's homicide. Woll, 43, was living on River Road in Damascus Township, Wayne County when her house caught fire on Aug. 28, 1997. She was found dead inside after firefighters beat the blaze. A "detailed investigation" led state police to declare the fire an arson and Woll's death a homicide. Bristol Man Pleads Guilty To 4-Month-Old Son's Murder: DA
Tyler Sullivan pleaded guilty to the third-degree murder of his infant son in a Bucks County court on Wednesday, May 29, according to the District Attorney's Office. Authorities have said they were called to Sullivan's Radcliffe Street home in Bristol last May 25 to find his 4-month-old son Timothy was "not breathing and cold to the touch."
