PA Man Suffers Fatal Fall From Tree Stand: Coroner
A Berks County man died while attempting to remove a tree limb under his tree stand, according to authorities. Gregory McCoy, 62, of Oley Township, was pronounced dead at 9:34 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 7, according to the Berks County Coroner's Office. Police were called to a wooded area near the 200 block of Geiger Road at around 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 7 and found McCoy hanging upside down from the tree, Amity Police Chief Jeffrey Smith said. Shots Fired During Armed Robbery In Highspire, Suspect At Large: Police
Three shots were fired during an armed robbery and the police are searching for the suspect, as announced in a release at 6:33 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. The robbery happened at the Highland Mart Fuel Market in Highspire at 9:46 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11. The store clerk described the suspects to the police as "an unknown individual wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with an 'I (heart) MY GIRLFRIEND' iron-on decal on the front, black long pants, and a black ski mask," as stated in the release. A popular 23-year-old sprint car race is dead following a crash into a tree on Tuesday night, Sept. 3, the York County Coroner's Office announced. Kyle Craker, of the 900 block of Siddonsburg Road, in Fairview Township, was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from his vehicle after losing control in the area of Alpine Road and Boar Mooring 3 Road in Warrington Township around 7 p.m. as detailed in the coroner's release. Residents Jump From Homes To Escape Rowhome Fire In Lancaster
Residents jumped from a second-story window to escape a fire in Lancaster on Tuesday, Aug. 27, authorities said. Two homes were involved in the fire on Woodward Street and were quickly extinguished by fire crews, Lancaster firefighters said on Facebook.

Multiple fire companies worked together to rescue an unconscious man from the roof of a home on Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 14, the Witmer Fire Protective Association announced later that day. The elderly man was found "not alert, stuck on top of a roof of a mobile home, and unable to get down," as stated in the release. Members of Lafayette, Witmer, and Ronks fire companies, as well as Lancaster EMS, worked together to get the man down safely. It's unclear why the man was on the roof.

A driver was rescued from flash flooding in Lancaster County on Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 6, fire officials explained. The flood water came from Pequea Creek quickly trapping one vehicle This on Route 324 just north of Silver Mine Road in Pequea Township, Rawlinsville Volunteer Fire Company officials detailed.
