A Reading mom who Googled "methods of killing" before hanging her two children in her basement has been sentenced to life in prison, the Berks County District Attorney John T. Adams announced on Thursday, Oct. 17.
Lisa Snyder, 41, was found guilty of the following on Tuesday, Sept. 24; 2 counts of First-Degree Murder, 2 counts of Endangering the Welfare of Children, and Tampering with Evidence, the Berks County DA explained in the release. Lackawanna County Man Is 2nd Victim Killed By Home Explosion: Coroner
A second victim has died from injuries following a home explosion in Lackawanna County, authorities said.
Leon W. Gruss, 91, of Jefferson Township, was pronounced dead on Wednesday, Aug. 21, at 12:38 a.m. at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, according to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio. The cause of death is 51% burns to the body due to the explosion and house fire, Buglio said.
The explosion occurred on Tuesday, Aug. 20 at approximately 2:15 p.m. in the 1000 Block of Mount Cobb Road in Jefferson Township.
