Gas Leak Shuts Down Camp Hill Shopping Center: Police (Update)
A major gas leak that shut down the Camp Hill Shopping Center has been contained, and the area has now reopened, authorities announced.
The incident began at the shopping center on the 100 block of South 32nd Street in Camp Hill, Cumberland County, on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 12:29 p.m., according to a release from Camp Hill police.
Emergency crews responded to a significant gas leak, forcing all stores to close and the public to avoid the area.
As of 1:18 p.m., police confirmed the gas leak had been contained and the shopping center, along with the surrounding area, has reopened to citizens.

An 84-year-old Bethel woman was shot in the head as she was reading the Bible, according to court documents obtained by Daily Voice on Tuesday, Oct. 8.
The woman was shot by her husband, Howard "Philip" Boltz, as she was sitting at their dinner at their dining room table at 9:10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 4, as detailed in the affidavit of probable cause.
