PA Teen Hospitalized After Rescuing Neighbor During House Fire: Reports
A teenage hero and the woman he rescued from an Ephrata house fire are in the hospital, according to reports citing fire officials. The call to the fire in the 100 block of East Chestnut Street came into Lancaster County Wide Communications at 5:05 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9, according to dispatch logs. The blaze soon closed the street near Grape Alley, as Fox43 reported. A two-alarm fire destroyed a Catholic school in Springfield Township on Monday, Oct. 7, according to authorities. Multiple fire departments responded to the report of a fire on the second floor of Saint Francis of Assisi Parish School, located at 112 Saxer Avenue, the Springfield Fire Company said on its Facebook page. A 92-year-old dad was killed by his son and namesake in what officials are calling murder-suicide, the Mercer County Coroner’s office told Daily Voice on Monday, Oct. 7. David E.
