Rowhome Fire Leaves 7 Families Homeless in Delaware County: Authorities
A rowhome fire in Delaware County left seven families homeless on Sunday, Nov. 17, according to authorities. The blaze broke out in one rowhome in the 1100 block of Taylor Street in Folcroft Borough at about 3 p.m., Assistant Fire Chief of the Folcroft Borough Fire Company Robert Thompson Jr. told Daily Voice. Everyone made it out of the homes as the fire spread, Thompson said. There were no injuries. Two people were killed when their car struck a building, caught fire, and damaged another vehicle in Bedminster Township, Bucks County, police announced on Friday, Nov. 15. The crash occurred at approximately 11:29 a.m. on the 6600 block of Easton Road (Route 611), according to a press release issued by Interim Chief Nick Virnelson. Officials say the moving car collided with a parked vehicle, which was unoccupied, before slamming into a nearby building, causing structural damage. After the death of a Berks County mom in an apartment fire, the community has rallied to help her grieving family. Amy Valentine couldn't escape from her burning apartment building in the 3400 block of Kutztown Road in Muhlenberg Township on Friday, Nov. 1, a GoFundMe campaign started by Valentine's daughter, Lexi Shuey, states. A fire did severe damage to a Bucks County home on Wednesday morning, Nov. 6, according to the Bristol Township fire marshal. The fire happened in the 600 block of Saxony Drive, according to Levittown Fire Company No. 2 in a Facebook post. Flames shot out of a chimney in Lancaster County early Monday morning, Oct. 28, fire officials announced.
