Lehigh County Senior Loses $250K In Mega Millions Lottery Scam An 84-year-old Schnecksville man was swindled out of $250,000 by scammers posing as Mega Millions representatives, Pennsylvania State Police announced on  Over the course of a year, from December 2023 to December 2024, the victim believed they were interacting with legitimate lottery officials, investigators said. The fraudsters convinced the senior to transfer large sums of money under false pretenses. No suspects have been identified in the ongoing investigation, PSP Bethlehem Patrol Unit said. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact them.

Pedro Iturmendi had last been seen around 6 p.m. near Woodland Drive in Spring Garden Township, according to a release from the Spring Garden Township Police. Iturmendi was believed to be at risk of harm or injury and possibly confused. 74-Year-Old Man Defrauded By Delco Duo: Police A man and woman in Upper Chichester are wanted for stealing from an elderly man, according to authorities.  Police said the pictured pair approached the 74-year-old victim with a $20 bill and said that he had dropped it.  When the man opened his wallet to check, investigators said the suspects recorded video of his license and bank card. Woman Stole Thousands From 89-Year-Old's Bank Account, Berks DA Says A Pennsylvania woman has been arrested for financially exploiting a senior she had the power of attorney over, police said. Mary S. Shealer, 58, is charged with multiple felony counts related to theft, Berks County DA John Adams said. According to forensic auditors, Shealer drew checks totaling $9,600 from the victim's bank account in 2019 and 2020, without the victim's knowledge or consent, Adams said. Authorities were notified of the incidents in August 2021, according to the DA.
