An unidentified man was shot dead by an officer at a police station in Elizabethtown early Sunday morning, Nov. 3, Lancaster County District Attorney Heather Adams announced later in the day. Armed Man Killed By Police In Montgomery County, DA Says
A 68-year-old armed man was shot and killed by police in Montgomery County on Sunday morning, Oct. 27, authorities said. Upper Moreland police were called to a home at the Commerce Square Apartments in Willow Grove for a domestic disturbance where an 83-year-old resident let them inside around 11:50 a.m., MontCo District Attorney Kevin Steele said. An Upper Perk police officer involved in a fatal East Greenville shooting was justified in using lethal force, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office. The investigation into the officer's actions during the Saturday, Sept. 14 incident involving the shooting of Gabriel Diaz revealed that the use of deadly force was warranted, the district attorney's office said in a news release. The identity of a 55-year-old father of five shot by police in East Greenville has been released by the Montgomery County coroner. Gabriel Diaz died of multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and shoulder in the shooting on Saturday night, Sept, 14, Coroner Dr. Janine Darby told Daily Voice on Tuesday, Sept. 17. A police officer fatally shot a pit bull in West Philadelphia this week, authorities said. It's at least the fifth PPD shooting of an aggressive dog since April.
