Female Flagger ID'd After Fatal Strike At PA Construction Site: Coroner
The woman who died while working as a traffic flagger at a construction site early morning on Thursday, Oct. 10, has been identified by the Lancaster County Coroner's Office the following afternoon. Linetta Wells, 56, of the 900 block of North Hanover Street in Pottstown was directing traffic when she was struck by a SUV at the intersection of Stone Mill and Plymouth roads in Manor Township around 7:38 a.m., according to Lancaster County Wide Communications and later named by First Deputy Coroner Casey Buckley. Man Dead, 2 Critical After Falling From Cherry-Picker At Philly Construction Site: Police
A 47-year-old man was killed and two other men were in critical condition after falling two stories from a cherry-picker truck Friday afternoon, Sept. 6 in Philadelphia, authorities said. The incident occurred shortly before 1 p.m. at a construction site on the 4400 block of Moravian Court, Philadelphia police said. Medic 9 and Medic 41 transported two of the men to Peen Presbyterian Medical Center, both of whom were placed in critical condition, One of the men was pronounced dead at 12:59 p.m., police said.
