Murder: Ex-UConn Hoops Star Charged With Mom's Florida Killing, Sheriff Says Former UConn basketball standout Eric Cobb has been arrested in his mother's murder in Florida, officials announced Tuesday, Feb. 11. The 28-year-old former athlete was taken into custody after officers responded to a disturbing scene on 15th Street West in the Mid-Westside area, the sheriff's office said. Officers arrived to find 51-year-old Erika Winford unresponsive, wrapped in a blanket and towels in the backyard. She had suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson visited Back Bay Ale House in Atlantic City on Monday, July 1, the pub said in a Facebook post. The ale house opened in 2003 on North New Hampshire Avenue in the Gardner's Basin section of the city. Back Bay said it has a "Key West feeling" overlooking the waterfront.
