A mother is mourning the loss of her daughter and young mother killed in a car crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike on Monday, Sept. 16, according to a GoFundMe launched by her family. Brianna Quinn, 21, of Palmerton died in the crash, her family says. Two men have been charged following a homicide turned "active police incident" that shuttered a neighborhood in Chambersburg on Tuesday, Sept. 17. Steven Thomas, 41, and Kainpest Hilaire, 27, are charged with Murder of the First Degree, Murder of the Second Degree, Burglary, and Tampering with Evidence, police announced on Wednesday, Sept. 18. Teen Girl Stuck Farm Equipment Airlifted: PA State Police (

An 18-year-old farm worker was airlifted on Monday, Sept. 16 after getting stuck in a corn binder machine, authorities said. The girl was injured on the 300 block of Wilson Mill Road in Lower Oxford, according to Pennsylvania State Police. She was in stable condition after getting stuck at about 11 a.m., Corporal Travis Hill of the Avondale Station said. Hill did not know what part of her got stuck in the machine. Her name was not released. More details are expected from PSP later Monday. Check back for updates.

Fake Cop With Lights, Siren Stops Vehicle In Chester County: PSP
He dressed like a cop and used lights and siren to pull someone over in Chester County, but wasn't a real police officer, authorities said. The fake cop pulled over a vehicle on Route 1 near Route 896 in Upper Oxford Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police, Avondale Station in a press statement on Friday, Sept. 13. Fatal 3-Vehicle Crash On PA Turnpike: Officials
A fatal crash closed Interstate 76/ PA Turnpike for over five hours on Saturday, Sept. 14 officials confirmed to Daily Voice the following Monday. The deadly three-vehicle crash happened at mile marker 268.4 in Penn Township, Lancaster County around 11:30 a.m., officials detailed. A detour began being used on I-76 West at Exit 286 - Reading starting at 12:35 p.m. and ending just before 5:45 p.m., according to officials. A horse was struck dead by a minivan in Salisbury Township on Thursday, Sep. 5, Pennsylvania State Police announced the following day. A crash between an SUV and a motorcycle left one person dead on Friday, Sept. 6, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler told Daily Voice. PSP Investigated 580 Crashes, Wrote 24,865 Tickets Over Labor Day Weekend
Pennsylvania State Police investigated 580 crashes over the four-day Labor Day weekend. From Friday, Aug. 30 to Monday, Sept. 2, those crashes resulted in 170 injuries and six deaths. Those totals were lower than the 671 crashes last Labor Day that resulted in 220 injuries and 10 deaths. Impaired driving was a factor in 65 of this year's crashes, three of which were fatal.
