PA Detective Charged With Stealing Drugs From Medication Drop Boxes: DA A West Goshen detective sergeant has been charged with stealing drugs from a community medication collection program, Chester County District Attorney Deb Ryan announced on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024. David Maurer, 55, was arrested and charged with Felony Possession of Controlled Substances and Felony Theft by Unlawful Taking, according to the DA. Maurer was responsible for emptying medication collection boxes located at the West Goshen Township Police Department and Chester County Hospital.
