Nestlé USA has issued a voluntary recall of a limited batch of Lean Cuisine and Stouffer’s frozen meals due to the possible presence of wood-like material, the company just announced.

The affected products include:

  • Lean Cuisine Butternut Squash Ravioli
  • Lean Cuisine Spinach Artichoke Ravioli
  • Lean Cuisine Lemon Garlic Shrimp Stir Fry
  • Stouffer’s Party Size Chicken Lasagna (96 oz.)

These meals were produced between August 2024 and March 2025 and distributed nationwide between September 2024 and March 2025.

According to Nestlé USA, the issue came to light after consumers reported concerns—including one potential choking incident.

What You Need To Know

Consumers should not eat these products and can return them to the place of purchase for a full refund or replacement. The affected batches can be identified by the ten-digit batch code on the side of the package, with best-before dates ranging from September 2025 to April 2026.

Nestlé USA has assured customers that this is an isolated issue and is working with federal regulators to investigate the source of the contamination.

For more information, consumers can contact Nestlé USA at 800-681-1676 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST.
