The community is rallying to support the family of a 22-year-old man from Brecknock Township killed when his car fell off a jack, crushing him, according to a GoFundMe organized by his Uncle, Zachary Drenning of Mohnton, on Sunday, Sept. 22. Ethan Ayscue died "in an accident while working on his car, the jack fell and he was crushed under the vehicle outside his home," Drenning wrote on the GoFundMe. A second man has been found dead in Pennsylvania over the weekend, police announced on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 22. The second man was found during a search for a missing man from Lititz, according to the local police. The search began around 8:25 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, as detailed in the release. Amish Horse-Buggy Crash Closed PA 340: PennDOT
A horse-and-buggy crash closed part of PA 340 in Lancaster County on Thursday evening, Sept. 19, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler told Daily Voice. The horse-and-buggy and vehicle collided at the intersection of PA 340 and School Lane Road in the Salisbury Township, Gap area around 6:30 p.m. The road was completely closed "due to the vehicle rolling over," Schreffler said. Teen Girl Stuck Farm Equipment Airlifted: PA State Police (

An 18-year-old farm worker was airlifted on Monday, Sept. 16 after getting stuck in a corn binder machine, authorities said. The girl was injured on the 300 block of Wilson Mill Road in Lower Oxford, according to Pennsylvania State Police. She was in stable condition after getting stuck at about 11 a.m., Corporal Travis Hill of the Avondale Station said. Hill did not know what part of her got stuck in the machine. A horse was struck dead by a minivan in Salisbury Township on Thursday, Sep. 5, Pennsylvania State Police announced the following day.
