A 17-year-old boy was killed in a three-vehicle airborne crash in Williamstown on Thursday, January 12, 2023, Pennsylvania state police in Lykens announced that evening.
Kenneth Long, 74, of Williamstown, was taking a left turn in his 2012 Chevrolet Silverado onto Railroad Street when the unnamed Tower City teen driving a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt entered the intersection and struck Long in the "11 o'clock position," in the southbound lane of State Route 209 just after 7:30 a.m., according to the release.

A Williamstown man allegedly held a 23-year-old woman and her 5-year-old son hostage with a gun during a burglary overnight, according to police.
Armed with a handgun, 23-year-old Matthew Ronald Lentz broke into a home in the 1100 block of Spectown Road in Lykens on Wednesday, Nov. 16 around 2 a.m., according to a release by Pennsylvania state police.
For approximately two hours and 15 minutes, he held them, hostage, while threatening to kill them, as explained in the release.

A couple broke into a church, stole crosses, and attempted to sell them as scrap, Pennsylvania state police allege.
Sherry Ann Hoffman, 50, and John Charles Watkins, 41, broke into the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church on 140 East Market Street in Williamstown on Sunday, July 24, according to the police release.
The couple is accused of taking a gold monstrance, a cross, and multiple crucifixes, police say.
Hoffman and Watkins then used grinding tools to cut the items and sold them as scrap metal, according to the release.
