Missing Man Found Dead In Pennsylvania Quarry: Coroner A man reported missing in late November was found dead in the water of an underground quarry in Slatington, authorities announced on Thursday, Jan. 2. Jesse James Rutt, 41, was discovered in the quarry on the 300 block of East Church Street and pronounced dead at 11:34 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 30, according to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office. Rutt had last been seen on Friday, Nov. 29, 2024, in the Slatington/Walnutport area, wearing a gray jacket and jeans, police said. Child Rapist With Superhero Tattoos Wanted By PA State Police Pennsylvania State Police are seeking a convicted sex offender who they say hasn't kept up on his registration requirements.  Matthew Charles Ross, 37, of Lehigh Township, was convicted of sexual abuse of children and dissemination in February 2018, according to the state Megan's Law website.
