A car crash inside a covered bridge in Lancaster County late Friday night, Nov. 8, officials announced the following day. Upper Leacock Fire Company reported that the crash happened shortly after 11 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9. Fire crews were dispatched after receiving reports of a vehicle accident involving a car flipped onto its side within a bridge in Upper Leacock Township. Dump Truck Crashes Into Amish Family's Bird-In-Hand Home
An Amish family's home was struck by a dump truck on Thursday morning, according to Lancaster County Wide Communications. The truck's cab's front right tire appears to have blown out based on photos shared by Daniel Stoltzfus who also witnessed the crash. He wrote the following in part in a social media post: "I heard something and looked up. The truck went between the tree and the house." Taxi Driver Guilty Of Sexually Assaulting Passenger, Lancaster DA Says
A Lancaster City taxi driver has being found guilty of sexually assaulting a passenger he was driving to her home, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney's office. Jesus Rosario, 55, of 100 block of East Ross Street, was convicted on charges of Sexual Assault and Indecent Assault after a three-day trial before Judge Thomas Sponaugle. The jury deliberated for about seven hours before reaching a verdict. Driver Survives Train Crash In Lancaster County
A driver was injured when their car collided with a train in Lancaster County on Monday, according to East Lampeter police. Police were called to the crash at the train tracks along Hess Road in Upper Leacock Township in the area of Belmont Trailers and Cardinal Building Products, around 1:00 p.m., according to Emergency Dispatch Services. Authorities ID Driver Struck By Train Victim In Upper Leacock Township
The Lancaster County Coroner has identified the woman they say was struck by a train in Upper Leacock Townhsip Wednesday. Haregua Wall, 38 of Warwick Township, was an employee at Dart and arriving for her scheduled shift at 3:17 p.m., when her 2009 Ford Fusion was struck by a Norfolk Southern train at a railroad crossing on Dart Container's property, police said. Wall was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the crash, according to dispatch.
