Lehigh County Man Struck, Killed By Train Remembered For His Love For All
The 26-year-old man struck and killed by a train in Lehigh County is being remembered for his love for everyone. Angel Luis Rivera Jr. of Alburtis died at about 9:50 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 25 after being struck by the train, according to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio. The accident occurred near North Main Street and West Penn Avenue in Alburtis, Angel's brother, Genesis Quinones of Allentown, organized a GoFundMe. Workers Killed By Train On Bridge Connecting NJ, PA Identified
A pair of workers who were struck and killed by a train on the Benjamin Franklin Bridge connecting New Jersey and Pennsylvania last week have been identified by colleagues. Donato G. Fiocca, 53, and Victor R. Martins, 55, were working on the bridge when they were fatally struck in Camden around 9:20 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14. Both men were members of the Cement Masons and Plasterers' Local 592, Fiocca for 25 years and Martins for 8. Fatal Pedestrian Crash Stops Amtrak Trains Along East Coast
Amtrak trains along the East Coast were at a standstill due to a fatal pedestrian strike north of Washington DC and a junkyard fire in Philadelphia on Tuesday, Sept. 27. Riders were told around 7 p.m. that they'd be stuck in their locations due to the massive fire and person struck by the train in Lanham, Maryland.
