Amish Man ID'd Following Deadly PA Crash: State Police A 77-year-old Amish man died after his horse-and-buggy was rear-ended in Western Pennsylvania, authorities say.  Daniel N. Miller of New Wilmington died at the scene of the crash on New Castle Mercer Road in Wilmington Township on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 5:37 p.m., according to a release the following day by the Pennsylvania state police.  A 2016 Ford F-150XLT was being driven south by 29-year-old Michael W Coiro with 28-year-old Tara R. Woman In Marked Crosswalk Struck Dead By Dump Truck In Pittsburgh: Authorities A woman in her 70s was struck dead by a dump truck in Pittsburgh on Wednesday afternoon, authorities say.  The unidentified woman was hit while crossing the street in the 5000 block of Second Avenue in Pittsburgh's Hazelwood neighborhood on Dec. 21 at 1:44 p.m., according to a release by Pittsburgh Public Safety.  The driver of the dump truck stayed on the scene where the woman was later declared deceased. Northern York County Regional police officers were called to the single-vehicle crash in the early afternoon, according to a release by the department The vehicle appears to have hit a brick retaining wall before flipping on to it's roof   in the 3700 block of Carlisle Road.  The injuries reported turned out to be minor injuries.  The roadway remained open following the crash. 'Serious Injuries' After Person Struck By Commerical Vehicle In Central PA: Police Someone was seriously hurt when a commercial vehicle slammed into them in central Pennsylvania on Wednesday, Sept. 28, authorities say.  Carlisle police were called to the crash at the intersection of North Hanover and West Penn streets just before 9 a.m., according to a release by the department. "The pedestrian has been transported to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries," police say. The intersection was closed while police conduct an investigation and reconstruction for "several hours," as stated in the release. Drivers were advised to find an alternate route.
