A teenage boy has been arrested after causing a crash that left "multiple people with serious injuries," police alleged in a release on Friday, Sept. 8. The Newmanstown 16-year-old boy has been charged with Aggravated Assault by Vehicle, Accidents Involving Injury, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, and Reckless Driving, as filed by Ephrata Police Officer Thorp on Aug. 11. A teenage boy has been released from the hospital after being hit by a car in Ephrata, police announced on Thursday, Aug. 24. Virginia Tibbals of Ephrata was driving a Ford SUV east when she struck the unnamed teen, The Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department. The collision happened in the 1800 block of Main Street (US Route 322) at 6 p.m. on Aug. 22, according to the police. A teenage boy "intentionally rammed" a police cruiser two times, and "drove backward" during a wild chase— involving guns and drugs—in Lancaster, city police say.
