East Petersburg Man's Cause Of Death Revealed After Standoff Turned Fatal Fire (Update) The cause of death has been released for a man found dead after a "domestic incident" turned standoff ending with a house fire, the Lancaster County Coroner explained. Mark D. Hackman, 53, of 6294 High Street in East Petersburg Borough, died by a self-inflicted gunshot to the head, and the manner was suicide, according to Chief Deputy Coroner Eric Bieber. Woman Found Dead After House Fire: York County Coroner (Update) A 59-year-old woman died in a house fire in York on Wednesday, authorities say.  The fire broke out at a home in the 4500 block of Hikey Street near Regal and Amy avenues in Dover Township, according to emergency dispatchers.  Emergency dispatch was alerted to the fire at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 23.  Police officers did not find an active fire when they arrived at the home, but it did appear that one had occurred and been put out, according to the coroner's release. Man ID'd Following York County Fire: Coroner (Update) An 88-year-old man was found dead in his home during a fire in York County on Thursday, June 8, 2023, authorities say. Raymond Leber was found dead in his home during a fire in the 700 block of Glen Rock Road/ Route 216 around 12:30 a.m. in Springfield Township, authorities say.  Deputy Coroner Karen Frank was called to the scene and certified the death at 12:52 a.m., according to a release by the coroner's office.
