Serious Crash Halts Traffic On Rt 743 In Mount Joy (Developing) At least one person was injured in a crash in Mount Joy on Monday morning, according to Lancaster County Wide Communications. The two-vehicle happened on Hershey Road/Route 743 near Route 283 westbound around 7:15 a.m. on April 15, LCWC explained.  At least one person was entrapped in a vehicle and one person was injured, but it is not immediately clear if those were the same person, if there were other injuries, and what are the extent of those injuries.  Hershey Road/Route 743 was still closed from Rt 283 W to Beverly Road two hours after the crash.  This is the same loca…

Two Injured In RT 283 Crash In Central PA: Dispatch Two people were injured in a crash that briefly halted all eastbound traffic along Route 283 in East Hempfield Township, Lancaster County, authorities say. The eastbound lanes were closed between the exit for Salunga and the exit for Route 722/Landisville around 3:20 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.  The two-vehicle crash led to a major backed up near Spooky Nook Road as officials closed all lanes for over 30 minutes in the area, and rubbernecking appeared to cause some delays in the westbound lanes as well.   Two people …

21-Year-Old Dies In Central PA Crash: State Police A 21-year-old man has died following a crash along Route 283 on Saturday, Apr. 23, according to a release by Pennsylvania state police. The crash happened when a 2020 Toyota Camry left the roadway, crossed a grassy median, and struck a pole along RT 283 eastbound near mile marker 4.2 in Londonderry Township just after 6 a.m., police detailed in the release. Arjun Subba-Gurangai of Harrisburg died at the scene of the crash, police say. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the deadly crash, the police state in the release. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Former Palmyra Athlete, 20, Killed In Dauphin County Crash A 20-year-old man died after crashing his car in Dauphin County woods early this week, authorities said. Trevor Binner of Palmyra was trapped in his vehicle when firefighters found his vehicle arrived in woods off Rountop Road around 12:45 p.m. Monday, police said. The Dauphin County Coroner's Office identified Binner after he was extricated between the Pennsylvania Turnpike and Route 283 in Londonderry Township.
