Crash Blocking Part Of Rt 30 In Lancaster: PennDOT
A multi-vehicle crash has caused delays on Route 30 in Lancaster County on Tuesday, Oct. 22, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The crash happened in the westbound lanes just before the Route 283/Harrisburg/Lancaster exit in Manheim Township around 9:34 a.m. Traffic backed up in the area as emergency vehicles remained on the scene. There is no word of any injuries at the time of reporting.

Car Carrier Catches Fire On Rt 283 In Dauphin County (

A car carrier caught fire on Route 283 on Monday morning, Sept. 30, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The call to fire came into the Dauphin County Department of Public Safety at 8:03 a.m. Fire crews responded to a tractor fire on Route 283 East at the Middletown Road Exit in Dauphin County Monday morning. There was a lane restriction in the area. The tractor of the car carry was hollowed out by the fire, as seen in PennDOT's 511PA traffic cameras. No injuries have been reported at the time of publishing.

A 33-year-old woman has died after being ejected from an SUV and thrown into on coming traffic in a crash into a tractor-trailer late on Sunday night, Sept. 8, East Hempfield police explained the following morning. The woman had been a passenger in a 2025 BMW X5 driving West on Route 283 when it struck the rear of "a 53' Wabash reefer style trailer being pulled by a Freightliner Truck Tractor that was also traveling West," the police said. Second Tractor-Trailer Crash On PA Turnpike Interchange To Rt 283: PennDOT
Yet another tractor-trailer rolled over on the interchange of Route 283 with the PA Turnpike on Thursday, Aug. 22, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The second tractor-trailer overturned on the ramp from Rt 283 West to the PA Turnpike/Interstate 76 South near the exit to the Harrisburg International Airport in Lower Swatara Township. Authorities ID Man, 36, Killed In I-76, PA Turnpike Crash
The man who died in Monday morning’s fatal turnpike crash has been identified. A utility truck crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer on I-76 by mile marker 246.6 at 9:17 a.m. according to PA Turnpike officials. The utility truck driver died at the scene and a coroner was called, according to Emergency Dispatch Services. A man charged with recklessly endangering another person following a road rage incident is wanted by the Lancaster police. Jessi Rosario-Estremera, 25 of Lancaster was charged with recklessly endangering another person and multiple summary traffic offenses after a road rage incident on Route 283 on Dec. 7. A warrant has been issued for Rosario-Estremera after he failed to appear for his preliminary hearing.
