A 14-year-old girl was the victim of a kidnapping attempt at the Willow Grove Park Mall, authorities announced on Wednesday. The girl was coming down the escalator when she was met by a man she did not know around 7 p.m. on July 12, Abington Township police explained in a release. The man identified himself as "Alex" and asked her to walk with him, "extending his arm, as if to escort her," according to investigators. The teen told him she is underage and tried to walk away, but "Alex" "grabbed her arm, placed it in his arm, and restrained her as he led her across the mall," police said.…

Fire Truck, Street Sweeper Collide In Central PA, Police Say
A street sweeper and a fire truck collided in Central Pennsylvania on Friday, May 12, 2023. The crash happened in the 1700 block of Highland Street at 9:50 a.m., according to police The crash involved a Swatara Township Fire-Rescue fire truck and a Swatara Township street sweeper, the police explained. "There were no injuries resulting from this accident," police said. The accident is being investigated by the township police.

A Pennsylvania teenager who was the victim of a targeted shooting in the lobby of a Luzerne County movie theater has died from his injuries, according to state police. Luis Manuel Luna, 19, of Hazleton, died from injuries sustained in a shooting at approximately 8;15 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14 at the Regal Cinema on Laurel Mall Drive in the Hazle Township. Sinkhole Opens Up, Closing Roads In Central Pennsylvania
A sinkhole has opened up closing a major roadway in Lititz, authorities say. The Lititz Borough Public Works is repairing the sinkhole which was discovered on Wednesday, Dec. 7 around 7:00 a.m., according to a release by the area police. The hole is on Raspberry Lane near the intersection of East Orange Street. Raspberry Lane has been closed from East Orange Street to Lock-up Lane.
