Fatal Crash Near Funeral Procession Along US 22: PennDOT
A fatal multi-vehicle crash has brought traffic to a stand-still along one stretch of US 22 in Harrisburg on Wednesday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The crash happened in the westbound between Exit: PA 39 - LINGLESTOWN/ROCKVILLE and Exit: PA 443 - FISHING CREEK at approximately 1:42 p.m., according to PennDOT. All lanes on US 22 westbound were closed and drivers are asked to look for alternative routes for four hours following the crash, according to PennDOT. Central PA High School Senior Killed In DUI Crash, Relative Charged
A high school senior was killed by a relative in a crash on Sunday, according to Swatara Township police. Sajan Basnet, 22, Harrisburg, has been charged with vehicular homicide, DUI and related charges following the head-on crash. Basnet was drunk and speeding when he crashed at the intersection of 61st and Ann streets around 11:40 p.m., according to police and as Daily Voice previously reported. Harrisburg Dentist Arrested For Assaulting Women, Including Raping Girl, 15, Say Police
A Harrisburg dentist has been charged with raping a Snyder County teenager and assaulting her mother, according to local police. Michael Boyd Damgaard, 33, pretended to be a younger man named “Dominik”-- contacting a 15-year-old girl on SnapChat and repeatedly assaulted her between May 12 and June 19 of 2020, according to court documents. The girl claims he sent her a message threatening to kill her if she did not meet him June 19 in the woods off Bucksey Road; that day her mother saw her leaving the woods with him and notified Pennsylvania State police.
