Illegal Heater Caused House Fire In York, Chief Says (Update) A house fire broke out in York City on Thursday sending more than 30 firefighters to the home.   According to York County Department of Emergency Service dispatchers, the fire broke out at a two-story home in the 800 block of East Poplar Street in York City just before 1:15 p.m. on Jan. 4.  First responders have already made "multiple rescues."
