Motorcyclist Avoiding Squirrel Dies 10 Days After Central PA Crash: Police A motorcyclist who crashed while making "an evasive maneuver to avoid striking a squirrel" died at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2023, police announced the following morning.  The Northern York County Regional Police Department was called to the crash involving 58-year-old Jeff Letcavage of Wellsville in the 600 block of Rohlers Church Road in Dover Township at 11:17 a.m. on May 6, 2023.  Following an investigation, police found that Letcavage made the mauver then "traveled off the roadway and struck a utility pole," as stated in the release.
