An officer-involved shooting happened on Thursday night, Oct. 3, Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Megan Frazer told Daily Voice. A Marysville Borough Police Officer was involved in the shooting, according to Trooper Frazer. Cassell Street from South State Road/Route 11 to Church Street was shuttered in Marysville until Friday morning, Oct. 4, according to witnesses. A police incident that allegedly prompted a shelter-in-place alert to be issued in part of Hampden Township, turns out to have been a hoax, according to the same police supposedly involved in the incident. The fake incident was on Red Spruce Lane in the Pinehurst Neighborhood around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, according to Cumberland County officials. "Hampden Township Police are asking residents within a 1/2 mile radius to shelter in place and to stay away from doors and windows," officials stated in the release. 15 Men Caught In Undercover Sting At Central PA Hotel
Fifteen men from across Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Colorado have been arrested while allegedly trying to meet with prostitutes at a Central Pennsylvania hotel. Instead of finding the women, the men thought they had communicated with to arrange for sex in exchange for cash, they found the Cumberland County Human Trafficking Task Force waiting to take them into custody, according to a release by the Cumberland County District Attorney's office on Wednesday, Oct. 4. Enola Man Accused Of Killing Wife On Christmas Eve
An Enola man is behind bars without bail after authorities say he killed his wife during a fight on Christmas Eve. Hampden Township police were called to the 4200 block of Wild Orchid Road on Saturday, Dec. 24 for a welfare check, said District Attorney Sean McCormack in a release. Arriving officers found Tamara Colbert dead with a gunshot wound to the head. The only other person in the house was her husband, 39-year-old Christopher Colbert, prosecutors wrote.
