Five Pennsylvania children were victims of a Florida man's international sextortion scam that started more than a decade ago, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024.
Alvaro Andres Valarezo Sandoval, 34, an Ecuadorian national most recently of Miami, Florida, was arrested at his home by PSP troopers in Miami with the assistance of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, their Special Operations Team (SOT), and the Miami-Dade Police Department on Jan. 18, according to the release.

A Lebanon man is accused of setting fire to a mechanic's shop where he used to work in Willow Grove, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office.
Sean Gahagan, 56, is charged with arson, risking catastrophe, burglary, and related counts, prosecutors said in a release.
Investigators said Gahagan stopped by his former employer, JG Transmissions at 616 Davisville Road, on the morning of Dec. 29 looking for work. He was turned away and left the shop, authorities said.

Double Homicide: Infant, Woman, Man Shot In Allentown, Police Say
A man, a woman, and a baby were found shot in Allentown, Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio told Daily Voice on Saturday.
The unnamed 66-year-old man, a 44-year-old woman, and a 1-year-old infant were found shot in the 100 block of Chestnut Street, Allentown, Lehigh County, at 8:49 p.m. on Dec. 29, the coroner detailed.
The woman was pronounced dead at 9:59 PM and the baby boy was pronounced dead at 10:01 p.m., according to coroner Buglio.
