The details about the death and life of a kayaker found in the Susquehanna River nearly two days after he went missing have been released. Man Swam For His Life After Car Plunged Into Icy Susquehanna River During Winter Storm: Police
A man swam to safety after his vehicle went into the icy, cold Susquehanna River on Wednesday afternoon, officials say. The man was alone in his vehicle when it went into the river “off of City Island” just before 2 p.m. on Mar. 8, Harrisburg police Cpl. Matthew Novchich told Daily Voice. The unidentified man is receiving medical care after his exposure to the frigid waters, Novchich said. It's Electric! More Car Charging Stations Added In Harrisburg
Electrifying news out of Harrisburg, more car charging stations have opened.The city held a ribbon cut for the new stations on Thursday. "I'm giving great thanks to PA DEP's driving forward program, which was the grant program which has allowed us to put in these new electric vehicle charging stations, right here, in the garage on City Island," Mayor Eric Papenfuse said. The eight new car charging stations are located on City Island. The city plans to convert some of its vehicles to electric in the future. There are now more than 20 stations throughout the city.
