A 26-year-old man will spend the next 15 years behind bars for a pair of Northeast Philadelphia robberies, federal prosecutors say. Michael Malcolm was sentenced to 185 months plus five years of supervised release and $300 restitution, the US Attorney's Office said in a release. Investigators said the robberies happened within minutes on the night of Oct. 5, 2021. Florida Mom, Son Killed In Accident While Visiting Pennsylvania
Loved ones and friends said goodbye last weekend to a mother and son who died after being hit by a car on a visit to Pennsylvania. Kellyanne Herman, 32, and her 12-year-old son Alphonso Thompson were in the area from Ocala, Florida, when the accident happened on July 15, relatives said on GoFundMe. City police said a driver in a Mercedes-Benz was moving fast down Bustleton Avenue when he ran a red light at the intersection with Rennard Street in Philadelphia. Off-Duty Philly Officer Killed On Way Home From Work: Report
An off-duty Philadelphia police officer was killed in a crash Thursday, June 23, CBS3 reports. The 50-year-old officer was on his way home from work when a BMW carrying three teenagers struck his Hyundai sedan on Bustleton Avenue around midnight, the outlet says.
