Four officers were injured, and four people are in custody after an illegal car meetup in Wynnefield Heights turned violent, Philadelphia police said. The incident began just before midnight on Saturday, Jan. 13, when police responded to an illegal car meetup in front of the Target on Monument Road in Wynnefield Heights, authorities said. Airborne Tire Kills Driver On I-95 In Philadelphia: Report
A driver was killed when a tire from a pickup truck blew out on I-95 in Philadelphia early Friday, and smashed into his windshield, 6abc reports. The airborne tire came off a southbound pickup truck around 12:30 a.m. between Front and Broad Streets, the outlet says. 2 PA State Troopers, Civilian Dead On I-95
Two Pennsylvania State Troopers and one civilian were struck and killed on Interstate 95 in Philadelphia overnight, authorities said. The crash occurred in the southbound lanes near Broad Street around 12:40 a.m. Monday, March 21, PSP said. Police were trying to get the man, who was walking on the highway, into their patrol car when they were struck, NBC10 reports. All three were thrown into the northbound lanes. Authorities were expected to release more information during a press conference at 11 a.m.

A Philadelphia man who allegedly threw cinder blocks at a driver earlier this month is facing new charges for reportedly robbing a Kensington pharmacy, authorities announced.
