Biglerville Mom Dies In Crash, Infant Daughter Airlifted: PA State Police
A 25-year-old Biglerville mom was killed and her infant daughter was medevaced following a two-vehicle crash on Memorial Day, Pennsylvania State Police in Adams County announced on Thursday, May 30. Brianna "Brie" Michelle Lucas was found dead in her 2005 Chevrolet Impala at the scene of the crash, PSP explained. A New Oxford man has been charged in connection with the death of a Hagerstown native in what Pennsylvania State Police believe was a "targeted" killing. Kyle Wesley Bartam, 37, has been charged with felony criminal homicide and felony robbery - inflict serious bodily injury in connection to the slaying of Keith Monn, according to his latest court docket and state police. Someone was struck by a vehicle in South Central Pennsylvania on Wednesday afternoon, authorities say. The pedestrian or bicyclist was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Heidlersburg and Old Harrisburg roads in Tyrone Township just before 2 p.m. on Nov. 8, according to Adams County Emergency dispatchers. Multiple EMS, and fire companies from Biglerville, York Springs, Heidlersburg, and Gettysburg, as well as state police have responded to the incident. Mechanicsburg Man ID'd Following Dump Truck Crash Requiring Hazmat: York Co. Coroner
A 33-year-old man from Mechanicsburg, died at the scene of a York County crash on Monday, July 25, authorities say. Justin Turrentine had been driving a 2016 Ford F-450 in the 5800 block of Harmony Grove Road in Dover Township around 12:20 p.m., according to Northern York County Regional police. Three firefighters were knocked down when a roof collapsed at a building fire near a golf course in central Pennsylvania, fire officials say. Multiple fire companies were called to a fire in a 30 foot by 40 foot building near Piney Apple Golf Course that was being used as a garage at 1663 Wenksville Road, Menallen Township, near Biglerville at approximately 1:18 a.m. on Tuesday, July 20, according to Vigilant Hose Company Shippensburg's Fire Chief Clyde Tinner. 100-Year-Old Man Dies In House Fire: PA State Police
A 100-year-old man has died in a house fire, according to a release by the Pennsylvania state police. Samuel Helsley, of 335 Arendtsville Road in Biglerville, Butler Township, Adams County, died in a fire at his house on Thursday around 1 a.m., according to the release. He was found in his bedroom on the floor next to his bed, according to the police. The fire was ruled accidental and was caused by faulty wires in the basement, according to investigators and state fire marshals. Helsley's exact cause of death has not been released.

A central Pennsylvania man is wanted for two crimes in two counties, according to a release by Pennsylvania state police. Tyston Fickes, 19, of Fayetteville, is wanted by police after fleeing speeds over 90 miles per hour during an attempted arrest for strangulation on Nov. 30 just before 5 p.m., according to the release. During a traffic stop in Biglerville borough Fickes sped off at speeds greater than 90 miles per hour-- going over 14 miles to the 2000 of Wenksville Road in Menallen Township, according to police.
