The incident began when police attempted to issue a warrant for 40-year-old Charles Nathan Harris for a warrant related to a weapons violation, the police explained on the evening of Jan. 5. Developing: Woman Shot In Head, Barricaded Gunman Has Hostages In Lower Paxton Twp. A gunman remains barricaded in the Pennswood apartments for a second day, as more details are released by area police. A 25-year-old woman who is the man's girlfriend and child's mother was shot in the head on Monday around 11:50 a.m., according to Lower Paxton Township police. The woman was taken to a local hospital where she is in stable condition. The hostages he has taken are the girlfriend's mother-- who lives in the apartment the man is barricaded in-- and his child.
