Shoeless 11-Year-Old Boy Who Ran Away From Grandma's House Found: PA State Police

A boy who left home without his shoes on has been found safe, Pennsylvania State Police told Daily Voice on Monday, Aug. 19.

Ace Snook, 11, most recently of the 200 block of East Main Street in Myerstown Borough went missing before 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 14.

PSP officers were called to the home at 11:25 p.m. after he ran away without any shoes, money, or his cell phone. 

Ace had been living at the home with his grandmother for the past two weeks.

About the search, PSP released the following statement:

"An extensive canvass was conducted by patrol units with negative contact. Aviation, K-9, and a SERT drone responded to the scene and assisted. The K-9 alerted in the area of South Cherry Street and Madison Alley but yielded negative contact (most likely picked up by a friend or relative)."

Ace Snook had been listed as missing/runaway in multiple databases, the police said. 

His mom posted he was found on Friday, Aug. 16. 

PSP Trooper Brownback confirmed he was located on Friday afternoon. 

No additional information was released.
