A plane crash at Doylestown Airport left all of the plane's occupants injured, according to a Monday, Nov. 18 news release from the Buckingham Township Police Department. The single-engine plane crashed into another unoccupied aircraft as it left the runway while taking off at 12:21 p.m., police said in a news release. A 36-year-old New Jersey unlicensed flight instructor who was in two prior crashes has been indicted in a third — a 2022 incident that killed his student pilot in Pennsylvania, authorities announced. Teen Was Piloting Second Solo Flight When She Fatally Crashed In PA: NTSB
A 17-year-old girl who died piloting a Cessna on Independence Day was only on her second-ever solo flight, authorities say. Maisie Bitler had taken off from Williamsport Regional Airport in a Cessna 172 owned by Quarter to Two Flying Club, Inc., Engines on Thursday morning, according to fight logs and later identified by the Clinton County Coroner's Office.
