Sleeping Man Shot In Hand, Lancaster Police Say
A stray bullet from a shots fired incident went through a man's home and into his hand while he was sleeping early Saturday morning, Oct. 12, Lancaster City police announced later that day. Officers were called to the reported shooting in the 300 block of S. Anne Street around 2:30 a.m. They arrived to find a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his hand, according to the release. A 92-year-old dad was killed by his son and namesake in what officials are calling murder-suicide, the Mercer County Coroner’s office told Daily Voice on Monday, Oct. 7. David E. Frew, 92, of West Salem Township, was shot in the head by his son, David C. Frew, 51, of Sharpsville on Sunday, Oct. 6. The 52-year-old son of a former US Ambassador started a road rage incident that led to his death, the Dauphin County District Attorney Fran Chardo announced on Tuesday, July 16. The results of the autopsy for a high school senior, who was shot dead by a 13-year-old boy, were released by the Dauphin County Coroner on Friday, June 7. Tyron Perrin, 18 of Susquehanna Township, died from a gunshot wound to the chest and the manner was homicide, according to the coroner's report. A 21-year-old man is dead following a shooting in York City, area police announced on Friday morning. York City police officers were called to the shooting in the 400 Block of North Beaver Street at 11:56 p.m. on Thursday, June 6.
